I first came across Sonya's work when she was exhibiting at the Malvern flower show in the Guild Craftsmen Exhibition. Her leaf inspired ceramics are designs of absolute beauty. The colours, textures and shapes are stunningly beautiful in their reflection of nature, while also being functional.

My beautiful pregnant friend is wearing her new rose petal pendant made by Sonya Ceramic Art, a very talented artist I found on Instagram who makes amazing and unique handmade, hand-painted ceramic jewellery of leaves, flower petals and all things nature. When I saw this rose petal, I thought of my friend because of how much she loves roses, and the delicacy of this particular piece reminded me of her kind and gentle spirit and the beautiful gift she is carrying inside her belly!

I bought a necklace for my wife as a Christmas present, sure she's going to love it as it looks great and the quality is awesome. It was a pleasure doing business with Sonya, very friendly and quick to repond to my emailed questions, payment was easy on line and delivery was super quick. Can't recommend highly enough, thanks Sonya 😊

"Dear Sonya, just to say how delighted we are with our 'Kuruk' vase. It fits really well with our home and I am going to enjoy deciding where its place should be - although I may move it around occasionally as the mood takes me! Neil says that each piece you make is like a 'baby' leaving your care, so be assured that it has a good home here and will be really appreciated. Thank you again for the emails showing the making process."

"I really enjoyed a pottery throwing session with Sonya Ceramic Art recently. I bought it for a Mothers Day gift for me and my mum. It was really interesting, and so therapeutic manipulating the clay. She's a local Mum too...a really nice gift idea."

"I was delighted to meet Sonya, the lovely creator of the leaf pendants I found so appealing on her site. She was a fellow exhibitor in the 2016 West Bristol Arts Trail, and neither of us had a chance to meet each other during the event. So, later in November she came over, and I was able to see the real versions of her ceramic pieces. Seeing them ‘in the flesh’, as it were, I was unable to resist them, and ended up buying 4 to send as Christmas presents to my far flung nieces and step daughters in Ecuador, Australia and California. Thank you, Sonya, for creating such lovely (and wearable!) pieces of art. Long may you continue to produce beautiful ceramics to give the world"

Niece, Penelope in Ecuador:
'I just wanted to let you know that I received your beautiful leaf necklace today. The postman delivered it right to my door!! Thank you so much for your thoughtful gift. It is really beautiful and quite delicate. I will have to try on a couple of tops to see which it matches the best.'
Stepdaughter, Freya in Australia:
'Thank you for the lovely pendant, it's really beautiful! What a lovely surprise'
Niece, Rachel in California:
'Received the leaf pendant. It’s so beautiful. Thank You!'
I really love the delicate glazes that bring out the leaf veins and the fact that it’s a natural form made from a pure, natural material. The platinum glazes edges make it glint and catch the eye even more. The wife loved it as a Christmas present and I plan to buy another one from the same series in the future.

"During a visit to "We Make Bristol" shop in Westbury-on-Trym I spotted some very attractive Acer leaf pendants in Autumn shades. I was curious to know whether a Maple leaf pendant could be made as a gift for a friend with Canadian connections and made contact through the shop with the artist 'Sonya'. She was extremely helpful from the outset and keen to undertake the commission. We discussed all the details of the commission including the process, size, colour, style and length of chain. Sonya specified a delivery date and kept in touch throughout the process, even sending photos of the progress.
I collected the pendant well within the specified delivery date and was absolutely thrilled with the results. Sonya had made two pendants so that I had a choice but I was so delighted with them I bought both! I cannot recommend Sonya and her work highly enough, and I know my friend will be delighted with her gift".

"I work for Herschel Infrared LTD so know of your art work through the company. I had previously looked at your website and had seen the cards and as I have recently taken up Salsa dancing I will be able to send your beautiful cards to my dancing friends".

“I was lucky enough to meet Sonya recently at the West Bristol Arts Trail and fell in love with her Veridian Voyage trio of bowls and matching mini prints. I’m delighted with my purchase and they now have pride of place in our home. Sonya was also kind enough to tackle a repair to a much cherished canvas and did an absolutely superb job, so much so it looks as good as new. Throughout Sonya was extremely helpful, efficient and professional and I look forward to seeing more of Sonya’s work in the future.”
Linda Fitzsimons (Bristol) ~ November 2015
“I visited Sonya during the Bristol Arts Trail in 2015 and was immediately drawn to nine small canvasses arranged in a square. The mounted photographs were part of the “What Lies Beneath” series, inspired by a keen observation of layers of paintwork on boats in Bristol Docks, each layer part of a different story. Sonya has an unrivalled ability to see design and artistic opportunity even in seemingly the most mundane of subject matters and turn these observations into something quite unique and beautiful.”
Nicola Johnston (Bristol) ~ October 2015
"As part of the West Bristol Art Trail, Sonya opened her home to show her art work to the public and I was lucky enough to be able to visit and see a range of ceramics and canvas prints.
I had been looking for something with vibrancy and impact to grace my dining room wall and here was the perfect solution. A double trio of canvas prints – The Veridian Voyage and Coral Crusade, and a large matching ceramic bowl.
Sonya has a new fresh approach to her work and her art , as well as being inspirational, it is both unusual and original.
I believe this young lady has great potential and I will be following her career with interest."
Peter Wilkes (Somerset) - October 2015
"It was great to view Sonya's ceramic work at the recent Arts Trail and I know my Mum is going love her new vase that I bought her for Christmas. Thank you Sonya - a unique gift that can be treasured for many years."
Sarah Parsons (Bristol) ~ October 2015
"I first came across Sonya's artwork last year at the Grant Bradley Gallery where Sonya was exhibiting her 'Passion' collection. I was immediately drawn to one piece in particular titled 'The Rapture' where two dancers merge as one. Sonya captured the passionate union between the 2 individuals beautifully. I found the perfect place to hang it in my bedroom where it is the last thing I see on going to sleep at night and the first thing on waking each day. How lovely. Thank you Sonya".
Teri Regini (Bristol) ~ January 2015
"Sonya's Exhibition at the Grant Bradley Gallery last year was most enjoyable. It was obvious that a great deal of work had been done to produce such a professional event. I chose 'The Embrace', one of Sonya's 'Passion' collection of paintings which shows a couple in one of the holds of the Salsa dance. The painting now hangs in a very long room and appears stunning to everyone who walks through. It looks as wonderful from a distance as it does close up, where Sonya's attention to small detail is exquisite. The facial features and hair are painted with such skill. I find each time I look at the picture, there is something new that catches the eye".
